Stock Z, 3400ft.........what 1/4 Time?

I Have A Auto Z With 273s Out Back (suck Ass) In Salt Lake City. I Am Going To The Track For The First Time......what Should I Expect?

My best at the track here in my stock WS6 A4 was 14.5. That's at 5800ft with a DA of around 8000ft. I'd imagine that you should be around 13.7 to 14.0 or so.

whatas up with elevation?? is it better or worse the highter your up ? please explain.

i know that air is thinner highter up

You just answered your own question.

Cooler Air is more dense, that is why your car runs stronger in cooler weather,

So dense air is what you want. thin air is less dense. thus thin air equals less performance.

I lived in Denver CO/ Aurora CO for 4 years. Cars are much slower there. They are real dogs when you take the up the Rockies lol.. It feels like you are driving a moped -- at least it did in my 4 cylinder I had there)

I remember seeing Fbodies and Stangs pull high 14s -- my one and only trip to Bandimere Speedway.

If you saw a car hit anything under 13.5 - it was a treat.

Yeah it's slow up here. When I told my dad I ran a 14.5 he was impressed since he ran 15's there with his 74 cuda.
