...On a "good" air day at sea level with a tail wind. I've seen folks post that their "stock" car ran 12's. Maybe some do as there are freaks in every lot. As for me, "bone stock" gave me a 13.45 @ 104.95 with a 2.11 60' ("good" air day. DA = 1100'). Most times I ran more like a 13.5x-13.6x. This was at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix Arizona. Track is at 1250' elevation but the density altitude runs about 3500+ most of the time (it's a "dry" heat).

well it sux because i dont kno if i have one of thoes "freaks" i go to the track alot but run almost everyother time i go and so far the perfect things i got were a 13.3 with a over run in 2ed soo im thinking of trying out the 5,5rpm shift n see if i can "keep pulling" n get a 12 or 13.1 or sumin supossibly i have a "factory freak" because everyone has raced 02's with same mods n hardtops n they were shocked, ive smoked cars that regular Z28's would get beatin by soooo i donno, ima vert also it sux, i needa get a dyno 2 haha

lol anyways i guess ill try my quest out for the 12'xx with a lid n no muffler

haha ill keep you guys posted

the Converter is very tight the only difference I can notice is when I punch it from a roll. I still can't stall it up on the line much more than 1500rpms, and I could do that with the stock 1600 converter. I don't think that it had that much to do with it. The gutted cats may have helped out though. before gutting them all I could muster up with the same setup and converter was a 13.1@106 with a 1.9 60 ft.

I went with that one because at the time my wife would drive the car alot and I didn't want too much bigger of a stall for that reason. If I had to do it over again I would have went with a 3500 stall, and I may still do it in the near future. I am putting a cam in the car pretty soon and I will need a bigger stall to get the most out of the cam.
