    Is my 99 z28 slow?

well I took my car to the track for the first time last night and honestly i'm disappointed
    My best was
    Reaction of- .246
    60 foot- 2.146
    1/4 mph- 103.30
    1/4 mile- 13.766
Does this seem right? I have a 99 z28 a4 with a slp lid and magnaflow cat back. Ran with traction off with overdrive selected. The car has 60k and was well kept. what do u guys think?

Sounds about right, overall with your mods you maybe gained 10hp over stock. Overall no matter what it seems like no time is ever good enough lol always seems slow...

maybe with some descent tires or just lowering the tire pressures you could get that 60ft a little bit lower... that's basicly what's killin ya... but overall a nice time down the track... my car is similar in set up...and with a 2.2 60ft...ran a 13.8... so that tenth in the 60 is the tenth u got on me at the quarter

well I'm glad those time seem about right. I started thinking something was wrong with my car. I'm going back next week. I wanna get a new set of spark plugs and clean the throttlebody. I have no idea when those were done since I just got the car last week.

yep, You NEVER go as fast as you think you can. I used to drag race religously every weekend, sponsored, the whole deal years ago, and no matter what we did to the car thinking it would change, We were always dissapointed.

a stock 99 auto Z28 coupe broken in, in good conditions at low elevation should be good for

    13.2-13.4@103-105 with 3.23 gears
    13.4-13.6@103-105 with 2.73 gears

so your times seem about right, cool weather can knock off around .3-.4.

I'm actually aiming for a 13.5-4... for my next time down the track...with better suspension and stuff... to get that 60ft back where it belongs... it's hard to get the cold weather down here though (coldest could be maybe 78degrees in the winter)...but the track is damn near Sea Level though...

    On your ass flashing
    my highbeams

Hey I just went to infineon last wed. Wheel lock your car to 1000rpm and leave the asr on. if you have stock tires you will be frying them off the line without knowing it. if you deflate the rear tire some and inflate the rears that will give you a better launch. Trust me on the asr. My first run without it was a 13.96, the next was a 13.6-otherwise you are right in the ball bark man!

what gears do you have? 2:73s will run you a little slower in the 1/4
also by your 60' time did you spin alot off the line? a quicker 60' and a better reaction time will help you out.
