    What I found out:
    1. My car LOVES being hot-lapped
    2. The cutout makes no difference whatsoever (over my SLP dual/dual catback)
    3. My car runs the same ET/MPH/60 foots with 342 gears, as it does with 410's.
    4. My car runs pretty much the same 60 foots regardless of foot brake launch rpm.
    5. If I didn't redlight every other pass, I'd be a helluva bracket racer, lol.

BIG THANKS to FROST for helping me get my car to not only run well WOT, but run great in the real world in day to day driving as well.

    Talking

A buddy was kind enough to post a video of 4 of my runs.

And here's one posted by another buddy:

The cutout made no difference, but it sounds pretty good, LOL.

You car would be a GREAT setup for bracket racing -- the ET's are so very consistent! Well done!

I'd love to be able to make it to the track and get in 23 runs!

Such a consistent car, thats great. If I remember right you are still running on the original 4L60E that hasn't been cracked open????

Sure is a fun day when you can run a car that consistent and never have to open the hood.

You remember 100% correctly. Stock high mileage 4L60E. It's been regularly serviced, but never rebuilt.

I agree 100% about racing all day without touching the car. It's great to drive 45 miles, let some air out of the tires, make 23 passes, air up the tires and drive back home...

I beat my 21 pass record from back in March, lol.

I met Bill and we talked for awhile before the racing got under way. Helluva nice guy. Maybe next April when we have the next rental some more of you all can make it out?

Race weight last time weighed was 3755# with me in the driver's seat...but I've put on probably 20# since...

    3775#

Here's a vid of my best pass to date...taken this past Sunday as well. Looks like it carries that front wheel a little longer than usual.

Thanks. I "had" some high dollar suspension mods, but swapped back to mostly stock parts when I saw ZERO gains from the race stuff.

    FWIW, here is my suspension:

    Bilstein HD shocks & struts
    1LE springs front & rear
    Front swaybar ON
    Rear swaybar ON
STOCK Torque arm w/poly front bushing
STOCK, but boxed, lower control arms w/poly bushings
STOCK, but boxed, panhard bar w/poly bushings

My average 60 foot times for the day were 1.59, with several 1.57's. The car hooks 99% of the time and average 60 foots were actually slightly slower with a gaggle of Spohn, Strange, and adjustable this & thats...not to mention clunky and squeaky. I'm certain that the only way my car will 60 foot any better is to either add more power, and/or shed some weight. If my job situation stays good, I may finally throw some nitrous at it, since my cam is actually a nitrous cam. So far I've bolted two different nitrous kits on the car, and removed them both without ever spraying an ounce of nitrous, lol...

With a nitrous cam I assume the lobe sep is spread out pretty far????

I was thinking you were also running a 3600 converter in it??? Wasn't that a fuddle??? I thought there was an intake swap to an LS6??? but the heads are stockers. Forgive me if I'm a little fuzzy here.

I wasn't aware you took all the suspension back off,,,but I remember you were experimenting with some adjustable parts that didn't gain you anything. Probably added weight too anyway.

I boxed my stock stuff too,,,I never cared for the squeaky and bulky aftermarket stuff You took yours a step further though and added poly bushings,,,I left mine with stock rubber to keep noise down even further. Have to keep my wife happy,,,lol.

LSA is 112, but it was spec'd for a car with identical mods and a 150 shot.

I wouldn't buy anything from Fuddle, ever.

    Here's everything, drivetrain-wise:
    Stock 116,000 mile bottom end
    Stock 116,000 mile 241 heads w/918 springs
JetHot brand 1-3/4" longtubes with JetHot brand ORY
Hybrid Dynomax piped/SLP dual/dual mufflered catback w/Summit electric cutout)
226 cam w/112* lsa (spec'd for identical car w/150 shot)
    LS6 intake (egr/air deleted)
    Home ported TB w/coolant bypass
    De-screened maf meter
    PCV catch can
    March underdrive pulley
    SLP lid and smooth bellow
    SSRA
    Stock 116,000 mile 4L60E transmission w/Hayden cooler
    Precision Industries Vigilante 3600 converter
    Stock aluminum driveshaft
3 channel rear out of 95 Z converted to 4 channel (342 gears)
HPTuner Tuned by me with a lot of previous help and advice from Frost/LSxTune.com

My lower control arms and panhard bar are actually the stock, boxed stuff that SLP used to sell.
