    true sir
"Top end" power isn't what I'm referring too. Unless you race from idle to 3000 rpm (which is possible, I suppose), then what reason is there to choose an LT1 over an LS1 (assuming one has the ability to choose) - bone stock or otherwise?

Of course, we do all have our personal preferences, based on biases, needs, wants, etc, and there is no right or wrong answer to personal preference. However, from a purely pragmatic point of view - there is little debate.

yeah sorry but "top end" is what makes the ls1 a faster car...stock for stock, a lt1 has more low end power, but that doesnt win races...the ls1 is a quicker engine because of its top end pull vs. the lt1's top end pull...

LOL. Ok. We're down to semantics and how one defines "top end" now, so no real issues.

I do agree that "low end" power doesn't win races...pulls trailers better though.

im talkin about how the heads of the ls1 grreatly outflow the lt1's...and how the ls1 redlines waay higher than a lt1...and yes, low end torque and trailers get along well, lol
