Well, you can make him feel better by telling him that mustang later ran a 13.8, my truck only did a 14.0, but i did win that race.
also keep in mind this is still a stock 98 LS1 with the smallest stock ls1 cam. Only mods to the motor were a set of ebay headers.
Since then I have added a ls6 manifold and underdrive pulley, also in that run it had a very lazy 2-3 shift, I just got the parts in for the 4l60e to make it shift right.. looking for 13's and more heavily modded stangs next time to the track..
The kid in the mustang was cool, and gave me props..His dad had a LS2 GTO that was low 13's, Maybe I'll race him after a few more goodies to the ram

I thought the 98-00 cam was bigger than the 01 and 02?

Looks like a fun truck. What tranny and rear are in it? Looks like it comes out quick.

My LS1 is from a 98 corvette, cam specs are .472 .479 on a 117 lsa
98-00 camaros and 2000 corvettes had the .500 lift cams on 115.5 lsa
01-02 camaros had a .467 .479 on a 116 lsa,
either way they are run very similar...I should have slapped my stock 2000 z28 cam in the truck...may be worth that 13.9 1/4 pass......or just get a tv.2 cam 232 234 .595 .598.....for some real gains

Thought you put an F-body engine in. I remember the C5 hada slightly different cam. Some f-body cars got it in 98 I think due to a shortage of cams.
Either way, that truck runs pretty well man!
I like it!

Very Neat....
I'm currently doing a 6.0/4L60E swap in my 72 blazer. I can't wait to get it dialed in and at the track
