Pretty sweet that you already have the sfc's. Thats a big bonus to help keeping these cars from getting all twisted up. So now its on to either suspension parts, or motor upgrades. Its really surprising how fast these cars can get with just a tune, tires, suspension and a 100% factory engine, trans and rear.

Boy if only I could have been so fortunate to have run a low 12 on just a few mods...could have saved the $10,000 I've invested in my car to run a tenth slower!!!! Just my luck I guess

I lowered my 1/4 mile time by 8/10's by adding headers, some suspension components, 9" with 4.11's and a tune. Also had Nitto drag radials which helped my 60' time a little...from like 2.1X to 1.97. Some of that could have been practice also though. I went from a 13.9 to a 13.09. I don't claim to be the world's best M6 driver. I'm sure the car had 12.7's or better in it. I'll probably never get it back to the track, sadly.

Jon, I bet with the additions you have on the car now, (D1, suspension, rear, etc) you are probably in the low 11's, maybe high 10's. Absolutely far better than low 13's. LOL. You def need to get back to the track though.

    I'm guessing 11.2, unless I nail the 60'.

You just get your car out to Johnstown or Sayre and Jeff and I will take turns ensuring that it sees regular track duty.

Jon really didn't give specifics on the offer "if we break it we buy it" so I will presume that nominal consideration of $1 would be acceptable. Therefore, on behalf of Jeff and myself I will state that we accept your offer. Please let us know when we can take delivery.

I would tend to say Mike's times are probably do-able.

My 02 SS convertible automatic was bone stock. I only added long tube headers and off road Y (left the factory CME exhaust setup) I installed a 3400 converter and I tuned it, that was it. Stock 3.23's out back and I raced the car on the stock Goodyear tires.

My best 60 foot on the stock rubber was 1.90 and I went 12.76 at 108 mph. I had good air that day, late fall and cool temps. DA was right around 1100 ft. This same car with no changes in warmer temps would run 13.0's and teens and slow down to 105 mph.

Since he's in Houston and right at sea level, this time of year they have excellent DA conditions. Everyone has to realize depending on where you live and the DA conditions in that area and the type of weather will drastically affect your time slips, as much as more than a second and several MPH if bad enough. Depending on where you live and the weather in your area, you may never see conditions like you can at a sea level track in a dry part of the country. It's why most magazine tests always seem to find there way to places like Atco and Gainsville in the middle of winter Makes those cars look good.

Finally after almost 9 weeks of my trans being out of service its squared away lol glad this car is not DD.. Lol builder had an honest mistake. But it ready to go and be tuned on Friday. New mods are Cam as previously mentioned, billet circle d 3700 called circle d to verify stall, ls2 maf and tune. Really hoping for my 11 sec time slip.

    << Jealous.

It'll be almost 3 months before I get to make my next pass at the track.

Looks and sounded good. What was your 60' time?
