MTs are way better than Nittos at the track.

You just need to get your RPM and tire pressure correct.

Someone will chime in on that.

If you have bouncing, that sounds like a suspension problem (wheel hop).

I see you have SFCs. Do you have relocation brackets and lower control arms? Torque Arm? These both will help with traction and keeping the car straight.

Sounds like they need to be rebalanced or a wheel is bent or wasn't centered on the hub? My .02!

    I had a little trouble reading that,,,lol

But from what I gather you are using the MT ET streets. Those are bias ply tires with very thin sidewalls that require a tube, and usually pretty low air pressure (12-15 lbs.) depending on the car. Should also have them screwed to the wheels for safety due to all the above.

With that said, bias ply thin sidewall racing tires like the ET streets will tend to wonder around on the big end just like a slick, which is basically what they are with minimal tread grooves allowed to get a DOT approval. Some people over react and/or over correct with tires like these and really upset the car, making matters worse.

It could be just a feeling you are not used to. If you are still uncomfortable with them, I would shoot for a Drag Radial of your choice. Stiffer sidewall, radial design with more high speed stability.

I took it that they were the bias ply tires since he only said ET Streets in his post and mentioned it looks like a slick with minimal tread.

My dad has a biscayne with those tires on it and at the top end of the track they will wander back and forth a lot. They even do it down the highway while going like 70, but after saying that they do hook up very well. We were leaving off of the rev limiter, 5800, and the tires wouldn't even slip at all only the tranny did, if you know what i mean.
The car has roughly 450 hp we got a 1.76 60' out of it.

If you get them balanced it shouldn't be as big of a deal.
