Red- 2000 SS
That's fine. I would run back to back runs all the time in my LT1. Make a run and drive right back to the staging lanes is what I did.

any time i do back to back races, in my car or on my bike, ect, i usally always get slower. I like to give it some time to cool down b4 the next pass, you will run quicker if you let you car cool down for 20 to 30 minutes

Its called heat soak. Heat is the enemy of engines... Thats why your best passes always come in cold weather. Your car will eventually get to a point where it won't run any slower, usually after back to back runs your 3rd run is almost guaranteed to be on the money w/ your second run.

thats weird.. because my first pass was a 14.2, then my second was a 13.8.. that was back in march with my ls1 that had 60k miles. i got a new ls1(due to bent rod, spun bearing, and cracked block..) i havent ran my new ls1 yet, it has 5k miles =)

R/T plays ZERO effect on your E/T. You time does not start until you trip those beams at the starting line. Your R/T is the time you take from when that green lights up until you break that beam. Then your E/T is beam break at the lights to beam break at the timeboards.....
I would guess on your second run you just managed to get the car out of the hole better, or shift it better if it was a M6. It is quite easy to make up time on a new car that you're still learning. Once you learn that car, you'll never make a hot lap and run .4 quicker though, barring you do everything exactly as you did the first time.

also to add, most tracks have grooves, soo when your not lined up your in them. that added about 2.0 tenths for me. but all tracks are different
