Different tracks have different rules. Look up what place you're going to online or give them a call to be safe.

the place i go (1/8th mile) says anything lower than a 8.5, but i ran an 8.4 on a good night once and they never stopped me from running again. then again i never ran that fast again.

your stupid if you dont wear one period, anything can happen, you can have a 14 second car trapping 100mph and crash at the end of the track, I would just get one, best investment you can buy.

she is a keeper. i have been with her for 4 months now. she's a great girl. I was doing horrible at the track last time when she was there though. i kept getting 8.8. it was depressing. i just couldn't get it right. i think i have my first gear shift point to low. i think i need to raise it to 6000 when im going to the strip. i have it set to 5700 for driving on the street. every time it shift over that it kicks sideways a little and scares the shit out of me. i need wider tires bad!!!

some cheap 245's. they aren't even z rated tires. they are junk. the 225 z rated tires that came with it (last owner was an old lady that never pushed the pedal and just tried to save money) gripped better. I think the big thing with it though is how hard of a shift i have. it's just so solid.

I think 245's are what came on the early 4th gen cars, but sticker tire would help you out. Yes, a helmet is a very good idea.

If you have t-tops you need one. I guess it depends if your running at a NHRA track or not though. I say wear one even if you don't need to. You'll feel more like a real racer anyway.
