Again, you had cam and headers. The 3.31 gears, how rare were they?

Still would take a 60s Camaro.

The helmet thingy, quick questions. What is the "breakdown" time frame for the material they are made from? Just wonder if the tracks ever check the dates they are made/inspected.
Yes the tracks do occasionaly check the snell ratings/dates etc... It just depends on the tech officials. I hadn't been checked in 15 years till I moved to AZ, the tracks out here seem much more stringent.

3.31 gears are pretty typical for the 12 bolts, it was your baseline gear if you didn't order AC.

Yes the 375 HP engines had some good stuff, and tons of potential. 320cc square port heads. 2.19/1.72 valves on the cast iron versions, and 2.19/1.84 on the aluminum head versions. Forged 11:1 pistons, steel cranks, aluminum intake and 780 cfm holley carb, solid lifter cam with 242 @ .050 duration and .519 lift. I had 2 of these cars, one chevelle, one camaro.

I used an early 70s 454 block, Edelbrock RPM air gap intake, .553/.571 cam, those heads, 250 domed pistons, and a steel crank. Sold it to a guy who compets in that "Fastest street cars in America" thing. He gave me $2,500 just for the heads. Granted they were completely gone over and new valves and valves seals, springs, locks, retainers.

I know with certain racing they are strict on the helmet choices.
