gotta love saying you have a ten second car

hoping to be in the tens pretty quick
got some decent track times in this weekend
    60ft 1.63
    330ft 4.67
    1/8th 7.25 at 95 mph

just got the new car running pretty good and ran the 7.20's pretty consistent on a 150 shot saturday
not to bad but well see what happens when the 250 shot goes in

4200 stall and your going to spray 200 out of the gate?

That will end up flashing 4800-5000.

yeah that should be about right
im hoping to maybe pull some 1.4 60' times or better but that might be tough on 26" slicks and a whole bunch of juice

You don't have access to a pair of taller tires to use? I would put a 275/60/15 ET Street drag radial on it. I do 1.28 60 ft's on the same tire on 250 ALL day.

What springs are you running in the rear?

Sway bar still hooked up on the front?

i cant get drag radials to hook for shit being that the car is lowered not sure what springs but it is lowered
and no the front sway bar is gone

i have access to some 28" et streets but my car is lowered and i really need to roll the fender wells to fit them

Well I'll tell you right now unless you have cut some V-6 soft springs in the rear to "lower it" you won't be seeing any 1.4-1.5 60 ft times. Lower springs are stiff as rocks and by no means good for weight transfer. I would grind or cut half of your lip off then roll the rest.

What kind of drag radials did you try? What pressure were you running?
There is cars going 7's on a Mickey's 275/60/15 Drag Radial.

yeah ive thought about getting the v6 springs and for the fender rolling im going to wait, my paint is brand new and i dont want it to chip after bending the lip

i did try some shitty nittos 315-35-17 i believe, which duh is not a good tire but since i was buying rims and tires i went with 15" et drags instead of another pair of radials

Yeah the Nittos are shit! I don't even consider them drag radials. Unless they are on a ALL motor minor bolt-on car they don't hook. The drag radials are soooo much more efficient on the big end! With the ET Streets the cars tend to skate around on the BIG end with BIG kits with the drag radials they go much straighter. Plus the drag radials hook better at the street races.

You know about the wooden bat trick on rolling the lips in?

Yeah take a real wooden bat put the car on jack stands (stands on axle tubes). Then place the floor jack on the body seam or SFC and jack it up just enough to wedge the bat on the tire at about a 45* angle. Now have someone in the car place it in gear and have the drivetrain spin the bat slowly around the top of the tire rolling the lip up and in. Now lower the jack slightly and repeat. Sometimes it only takes 2 passes and other cars it has taken me 5 times per side.
Works great and is easy on the paint due to the soft wood.
Very old school trick my dad told me about when I was a youngin.
