Got A Race With A Viper

my neighbor invited me over his house this mornin after he found out i did a biiiiig burn out in "HIS YARD" last night so i walk in the garage and i see he has like 5 vipers 4 corvettes and a dyno(the first thing that came to my mind was i've been paying $200 to $300 to get my car dynoed when i could have gotten it done much cheaper or even free but i did get it dynoed) but anyway so we were talkin and a freakin GT pulls up i almost wet my pants..i'm standin there in shock right in the middle of a conversation i took off and got the camaro and the camera and when i pulled up in his drive way i nailed the throttle ..so to make a long story short i got myself in sum deeeeeeeeeep deep deep shit.....i got a $1000 street race... 410 hp.... no nos.... against a freakin modded VIPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
race is in 2 weeks should i pull the motor out of the race car and put it in the street car or spray the shit out of it or just hand him the money how much horsepower does a viper have

Here`s what to do...you will need $2,000... first, use $1,000 and add a "nice" nitrous system to your ride...second, hand him the other $1,000 right after you lose the race...

if it is modded there is not much you can do.... im sure its near a 10sec car...

i raced an 06 viper in my stock Z06 (BALD tires) and he KILLED me.

what are you putting to the ground? my guess is that if he is lightly modded.... hes making around 500-525rwhp.... which means you need 550 minium to compete.

You are not gonna beat that Viper with your mod's. Sprayin or not. You could put a 150 shot, no more, on your stock bottom end. Still if you don't have traction, he will beat you. Good luck though and don't get caught!!

How much time until the race?

If its on short notice than i would just get A very good 150HP nos setup.
4.11 gears ( only race him up to 100-120. anything more and he is gone)
Get some good drag radials.


if its not for a long while then i would get a good set of heads a good intake, and a nice cam.
plus the mods noted above.

pray that he cant drive worth a darn and that you can!


(one major plus is that you should be quite abit lighter than him)

I never said that he would win, it would just help him keep up a bit.

but ya i know he wont win unless he has some MAJOR mods done to his car.

the vipers look to be around 99 GTS or close to that year, my dad used to have a red one it was pretty quick but I think stock it was only 450hp at the motor. So if its modded you may be in trouble, better hope you are seriously modded and can drive like andretti.

well as for hp i have 410.9 hp and 389 lbs of torque and we got a week to race and about that hennessy viper thing i think it very well maybe it had some strange lookin intake and two pipes leadin towards it an to the back of the front bumper.. but when he crunk it up i did not hear any thing that sounded like a turbo
