Got beat by yet another 2007 Z06....

GOD DAMN IT!

Should have easily beat him. Different car than the one from before. I do have the in-cab video of the run on tape...just not sure how it looks yet.
This one was red. And I got him at the track.
But I managed to miss 3rd gear. In which case...I pretty much gave up on the pass. Didn't even use 3rd gear.
To his credit...he had a horrible launch. 2nd pass ever with the car. I whooped his ass the the 1/8 mile.

Me = 8.685 at 75 (my best 1/8 trap is 92)
Him = 9.076 at 88.31

Me = 13.517 at 108 (my best 1/4 trap is 117.8)
Him = 13.440 at 114

I will see about getting the video up.
Was crazy how quick he came on with me skipping a gear. Was nice to get an actual stock one to run. Very fast cars.



Best I saw him run was a 12.7 at 114 last night.
My best last night was a 12.2 at 117.

Missing gears always sucks the big one , at least you missed 3rd and not 4th like I did last Friday at the track. I felt like and idiot but still managed a 12.4 at 115mph. At least your night got better, mine got worse. Second pass was horrible. Person I raced took forever to stage, so as soon as they staged the tree was going before I knew what happend. I went to launch and somehow 1st gear popped into neutral when I went and I sat there for about 6seconds. I figured what the hell , I'll just run the person down. I bet the guy to my surpise. I ran a pathetic 17.5 at a 116mph!

My worst run last night was a 19.7 at 50.58.
Missed 2nd and figured screw it...knocked it in 5th and cruised down the track.

I had all kinds of traction problems last night. My car has cut several 1.6x shorts while bogging. I could only muster upper 1.8's last night.

My first pass was my best one....
DA was over 7700 last night.

Well , I thought mine was bad. At least I had my best 60' ever a whopping 1.9'. Not exactly good by any means, car actually seemed to bog just a slight bit. I believe I left around 1500rpm. I only shifted at around 5800 in 1st and then every gear after that I shifted at 6800. And like you first pass was the best I had. Only got 2 runs in. I thought you were running somewhere in the 11's already?

Track conditions prevented that from happening last night.

Corrected it is 10.7 at 130. Freaking DA....

I would not feel bad about losing to an 07 Z06. They are very fast. If you're even hanging with them, then you have a very fast street car! Props to you!

That is the only one I raced.

ET wise...he beat me. I whooped him to 1/8 and missed 3rd gear. So I didn't use 3rd at all. Dropped it into 4th and basicly coasted for a second....then hit it once I remembered I was up against a C6Z06.
I will post the in car video of the run and an outside view later tonight.
That way you can hear what I did.

I get to the trap before he does, but his ET is better by a tenth. Neither of us had decent runs. I missed third, he had a 2.5 short time.

lol,,,,thats great to watch. Hard to put a good run together under pressure,,,lol.
Those new LS7's are tough, there are 4-5 running around my area already and one guy has already sent his to Lingenfelter for head work and a camshaft,,,it didn't even have 500 miles on it,,,sheeeesh where do these people get their money.

The black one I ran a while back was cammed I guess. Stock manifolds at the time, but tuned. 25-125 I stayed within 2-3 cars. Not bad considering.
Now it is making close to 600 at the wheels. Would slaughter me now. Amazing cars.

mr luos how much horsepower and torque are you pushing and what all have you done. also your stock computer is an obd II right, what did you have to do to keep it from shitting itself
