    First time in 2 years

Well, made a couple of passes down the 1320 for the first time in 2 years. I'm pretty happy, I love my car. Every other Friday evening the track here does street legal run what you have races, pure fun. As long as it's legal on the street and passes tech you can run. A number of the bracket guys also use it as a test and tune for the following week end races.

Run #1 Was not bad numbers wise, but was killed by a race built car.

    My numbers; R/T - .281, 60' - 2.67, 330 - 6.599, 1/8 9.661 @ 80.78, 1000' - 12.251, 1/4 14.433 @ 103.98
    Other car; R/T - .339, 60' -1.512. 330 - 4.52, 1/8 - 7.052 @ 69.62, 1000' - 9.250, 1/4 11.103 @ 121.68

Run #2,I was hoping this would happen and curb some of my curiosity, was paired up with a gen 5 Camaro. I don't know the year, it was an SS in that bright metallic green. Rear tires were et street slicks. Also a passenger so guessing another 140 so lbs. My car is pretty well a bone stock 2002 WS.6, six speed, SLP lid and flow master muffler with 3 inch pipe from the y back, tires are Nitto 555 in stock size.

    5 gen numbers; R/T ..106, 60' - 2.388, 330 - 6.369, 1/8 - 9.561 @ 79.68, 1000' - 12.168, 1/4 14.369 @ 99.81
    My Numbers; R/t - .240, 60' - 2.400, 330 - error, 1/8 - 9.224 @ 82.35, 1000' - 11.76, 1/4 13.927 @ 104.94

Looking at the numbers, I think the 5 gen may have sandbagged the top end due to the passenger and track/NHRA rules. I would have liked to have talked, but he was long gone by the time I got up return road.

Things learned tonight, I need to work on my R/T with LED trees, I am possibly leaning out in the 4000 - 5500 RPM range, 5th gens don't seem much faster but since I only ran one once, I cant say too much, but I think the 60 foot times say something, if my 330 time had read, I could infer more.

    What track?

    What Mods?

    M6 or A4?

Congrats on the kill but I think you ran a V6 based on the #'s.

The reason I say that is there are very few Synergy Green SS's.

The easy way to tell the SS from the V6 is mail slot on the front fascia from 2010-13

BTW you need to work on that 60ft time you should be around 2.0 on street tires 1.8 or 1.9 on DR's.

The track is Saskatchewan International, want to see a blast from the past come here, still running the metal guard rails and orginal pavement in the shut down area from 1966.

Mods, not many, in short 3 inch from y pipe back with flowmaster muffler (done before I owned the car), umi panard and lower links, SLP lid and descreened MAF (also previous to my ownership) running Nitto 555 Extreme

    Both cars are M6

No it was an SS I refreshed myself on the track rules this morning, he was sand bagging as he had a passenger. You can't have a passenger if you run faster then 14.00. Never took a good look at the car in the staging lanes.

As for my 60, yea I know. There is an issue some where with going to WOT from a stand still, engine bogs a moment, also minimum track prep for Friday night street legals. Need to get more track time in, will do that next season.

With a few more runs you should be in the mid 13's. It's fun to get out on the track and let loose. I will be going for the third time this year on Sunday. I will post times.

Thanks for the info. It is fun to get out and just get on it, and not attract the wrong attention. The car liked it to. The goal is hit 13.5 once before the track closes for the winter. With the air getting cooler, as long as the humidity stays reasonable it might be possible.

With a 2.0 or 2.1 60ft you could get it easily.

Every 1/10th at the starting line(60ft) is worth 2 at the top end.

Thanks, it's good to "come home", I practically grew up there in my youth when dad was racing what was then street machine. I tell ya though an LED tree takes some getting used to. If anybody on here is from Saskatchewan the next friday night streets are August 23. 30 bucks for as many runs as you can fit in. gates open at 530, or earlier if there is a long enough line and racing goes from 6 till about 930.

Waves back from here, is the track still open in Calgary? I know there were rumors that the city wanted the land back for development.

For any one out in the prairies, pretty sure you have heard about the Rock 102 Cruise week end, I still call it the CKOM cruise week end, in Saskatoon. It's a week end of automotive fun and games. So off to the friday night street legals I go. I got to the track late about 730, through tech by 745 and eneded up waiting on the guy in front as he chatted with his buddies, blocking the exit of the tech lane. So now it's 8pm and he finally clues in that there are people behind him and moves. I get back to the staging lanes and end up back in lane 1, which was the tech lane and proceed to sit there for the next hour. Watching a few other cars hot lap, one guy went through three times while i was sitting there, on the busiest week end of the year for the track.

I eventually got a run in going 14.3 @ 102. I think my 60 was some where in the 2.4 area. Green launch pad as they scraped the rubber the week end before and no compound. Glorious spin through first gear, car fell flat going into second (think fuel pump is going along with the alternator), ran like mad down the rest of the track. The guy in the right lane was running a 5th gen supercharged, think he ran an 11, even though I was way back there he waited for me at the top end to exit the track first.

I still would rather have a bad day at the track then any day in my apartment. I also need a helmet. The end.
