I don't blame you on that approach, it's one reason why the 3.42's are still in my wifes car. One of these days I'll get ambitious enough to build the 12 bolt that's been laying here for it.
I'd probably go easy on what you have until you can swing an upgrade, I personally wouldn't even do tires on one, it's tempting fate

^^^I agree! Money's tight around here, don't have the $2500 or so for a differential, so I don't use slicks. I have a girdle, welded the tubes to the pumpkin, and my diff still is problem-free.

Although, with almost 100k on the car, I could explain it like, "Oh, sorry honey, it was just its' time to go."

I'm going to save every penny I can for a new rear because I want to see the max potential out of my current setup before I make any changes.

Are there any dragstrips open, or do you have to wait until spring.

Etown is open but I have to keep up with the weather. Most likely going to go on a Sunday before the end of November.

Hey shouldn't you have run faster then that? I'm not knocking you at by any means at all, so I'm sry if I had came off that way. but I had gone to the track for the first time ever in my SS just last month w/4.11's and ran 12.886 w/ a 60' time of 2.02 and a r/t of .519 or a .591(I forget) and all I have it slp headers and 3" y-pipe. I had spun the first two gears cuz I don't know how to launch my car(m6) lol I'm a newbie lol oh yea sry I forgot to I'm on 315/35/17's M/T's street radial. But from what I read it looks like you have alot done to your car. So do 4.11's really help that much?

It's the MPH you have to look at, it tells the real story as to the potential of the car. Not the ET.

I was on street tires and babying my 10 bolt. Now that I have a 12 bolt and 4.10's I can romp on it a little more without worrying much. I have a buddy who is going to lend me radials too.

Congrats! I feel like there's a big difference in seeing that 13.0 and 12.9 (or 12.8 in your case ). I'm shooting for 12's this spring too!
