    I broke into the 12's with a 12.98. All I had was headers, 3500 TCI and Nitto's. And that was 8 years ago 2003.. And then came the 11's... Congrats on the 12...

    Thanks,I just bought her last Sept. first time out full weight bone stock 13.71 at 103.

    By Nov she ran a 13.37 at 107 in mineshaft air and a 20 mph tailwind.

    Headers Free mods and a tune got me 13.03 at 105.95.

    I have been whittling away at it one mod at a time.

    No TC yet.

    She should run mid to low 12's with the Yank 3600.

    Just work on to 60' times and 12's with any 98 and up M6 LS1 F-Body should not be a problem. The goal is 1.85 to 1.9 60' times, the rest is just shifting at 6 grand and keeping it straight through the traps.

    13.4 @ 108 y!!!!!

    I'm doing 108 in the 1/4 but my best time is 13.4 y??? what do i need to do to get in to the 12's ?

    csmiff............I am betting you are spinning off the line. If you spin off th eline you can get a faster trap speed. I am bettin gi fyou hook up you would run low 13s at a SLOWER speed. Throttle control out of the hole my friend.

    I am at 13.03 @ 106.90 so I am hoping cold air will get me in the 12s. I wish I had some of the mods you guys did..........

    You need to get your 60 ft times down and you'll be heading towards the low 12s. I would get at least a 4000 stall. Before you buy your stall descide if your going to run Nitros or not. A set of 3.73 gears would also make a big difference.

    I dropped my 60' times from around 2.1 to 1.6 and change with no internal engine mods or power adders -- all suspension, stall, tires and gears. Quarter mile times went from 13.395 down to 12.430 in similar air. As posted, getting it off the line makes all the difference in the world.

    All my timeslips and my Z are in gov storage (i'm stationed in Okinawa Japan) and i don't remember the my 60 times but i do know my best was a 13.4 @108 (Costal Plains Dragway) My Z is a M6 w/ pacesetters LT, pacesetter y pipe and loud mouth exhaust it also has a SPEC stage 3 clutch and Granatalli MAF, MIT lid and a K&N/ Things that slow me down it doesn't have a tune and I put BOSS 338 20x9's up front and 20x10's in the rear my car aslo has lambo doors(welded in w/support plates) I didn't put them on brought it that way I paid $5500 for the car so i said F it

    I think if i had a tune, DR's and smaller rims i would be in the 12's

    That mph of 108 is screaming 12's. You should easily be running 12.8. I bet with those changes, fast shifting, and a better 60' time, no problem obtaining that.

    If he is running 13.4 I am willing to bet he isnt babying it out of the hole and is in the 2.2-2.3 range and when you spin you actually make the track longer in terms of gaining speed. 108 is easy 12s but if he runs say a 13.1 I am betting he drops his MPH.

    Well just as a comparison...

    When my M6 had DR's, lid, filter, LT's, full exhaust and 4.11 gears (granted I had a 9" which is less efficient), my car put down 330rwhp/342rwtq on a Mustang DYNO.

    When I took it to the track, I was only able to get a 1.906 60' and I went 13.109 @ 107.8 MPH. My car could have probably easily ran 12's with a little better 60' and better shifting.

    With ease Jon...your car should have without any issue.

    I was speaking if this guy was still un-tuned when he got his 60' down. If he get tuned for his mods and a good 60' he should be able to hit 12.8@108 without any issue.
