yea.. if they would have just made revised 4th gens and put ls2s in them with a decent intake, some stock ls6 heads, an ls6 cam, and a better exhaust... that would be good for low 12s, possibly high 11s.. just put a stall in an a4 and you would hit mid to high 11s easy easy easy..

but i suppose our cars look outdated....

i still think the ws6s/ta/firehawk/ etc... look better than any other car on the road..
they could have tweaked the camaro a little bit.... but it would have been so bad ass to see some ls2s in them from the factory... id sell my car and buy one in a heart beat

EDIT*** i know that post was entirely wishful thinking..

Yep I think killing it all together without a revision was the wrong thing to do. And now to bring it back on an entirely different platform was just another nail in the coffen for me.

hehe,,,ya I was skeptical to even jump onto the 4th gen bandwagon since our family is pretty much old school muscle cars all the way.
I enjoy the 4th gens for what they are, but for me it's the 60's and 70's stuff that really does it for me. I'm still living in the past I guess and have a hard time accepting anything that isn't at least 30 years old

Some stuff grows on ya after a while though I guess.

i'll wait and see what it does. . . .but it's gotta be better than a c5 zo6 on a road course before i even think about it. . .c5 zo is my fav car. modded c5's are only being beaten by modded c6's at the track. . .

My brother has an 07 GT vert. with pulleys, cold-air, catback and a tune, he dynoed about 290 RWHP....at the track he ran either a 13.6 or a 13.7 on street tires. I beat him every time we raced.....My WS6 has a lid and a catback, my best 1/4 mile is 13.4x @ 104.

I wouldn't call an '01 GT "super slow"...I think that title is reserved for the '96-'98 non-pi motors with a pathetic 215HP

I think his point is.....the 01 GT with mods could not keep up with his stock f-body. I agree the 96-98 GTs are much slower.
