    EVO vs 98 Z28

Ok I am asking this because a co-worker wants to race his evo against my Z. My car is pretty much stock only real power mod is the hypertech power programer III. which honestly I didn't feel a difference when I installed it. his I know nothing about right now other then it's an EVO. any one have an idea what the race out come could be like? my best time in the Z was 13.42 at 104. and that was my second and last time I took the car to the track. any ideas?

Get yourself a lid, LT's, y-pipe, magnaflow exhaust, LS6 Intake, and get that badboy tuned. Last thing you need is Drag radials. Take his advantage away from him.

it's an evo 9 and he's done a lot of work to the car.

I have a lid and smooth air bellows on my car now. I also have at home waiting (for when I get home from deployment) pacesetter LT with ORY magnaflow catback (but not cats), subframe connectors, LS6 intake, umi torque arm tunnel mounted, and spec stage 1 clutch with flywheel. as for the TB I'm not sure if the 85mm that I have lying around will fit but if it does I'll probably drop that one on it. what do you think? lol. at most high 12's with a tune. at least that's what I'm thinking.

OK anyone know if 400 rwhp will do the trick? lol. just a shot in the dark but my car is suppose to have that once I'm done with everything and before I race him.

really I'm getting something done after I install those parts. and after I get them to install this and dyno tune I'm suppose to have around 400 rwhp. but yea. I'm aiming for low 12's high 11's.

if it's an older evo8 it'd be a CLOSE race, a 9 should get you with you pulling on him by the 1/4 is over. assuming your equal drivers
edit: just read he's running 12s, good luck man get the mods mentioned by the others and smoke that lancer!

400hp on a camaro hits the 11s you should be able to win, the EVO 9 MR runs 13 flat in the 1/4 mile so he isnt stock, maybe intake and exhuast is getting him at mid 12s.
