I do my best in my adreneline fueled state to slip both my street tires (Goodyear F1 GS D3) and the clutch at the same time. My best so far has been a 1.98 60 foot at the drag strip. Not a whole lot of drivetrain shock for the weak differential.

I wouldn't launch the car no higher than 2-3 grand. just rev and slip the clutch

The same crappy 10 bolt is in all the 4th gen Fbodies, 93-02.
You have a better chance of lasting a while longer on 400RWHP with an auto tranny, but your are still on borrowed time. 400RWHP+T56 tranny=KABOOM much sooner than later. If you are planning to put 400RWHP down you better budget for an upgraded rearend if you plan do any launching at all.
