Mr. Whamham and Tom are correct. I think everyone else is missing the big picture here.

105 MPH trap speed is a 12 second car easily. The fact that this is a little hemi (5.7) means it's no larger than an LS1, yet it's in a much heavier car and still running 13 flat at 105 mph. They don't run bad for what they are considering the heft they carry around. If this thing weighed 35-3600 lbs. like a 4th gen you could knock 4 or 5 tenths off the time right there.

Wait 10-15 years and see how much used challengers are selling for,,,then compare.

Eh, my 02 SS stickered for $33K and change. We can go back and forth on this with no real point, other than the fact remains that 15 years of inflation and a new performance car can still be bought for $35-40K.
That shows absolutely nothing so the point is mute.

For the comparison to be apples to apples, you would have to wait 15 years and see how much challengers and chargers are selling for used.
My guess is they will probably hold their value better than our 4th gens did.

The retro look on the challenger is a big deal and it's going to reflect resale down the road.
Our 4th gens just don't look as exciting sorry to say.

I would disagree with that one. The WS6 is a stand out car, regardless of the company. And it looks very exciting. Draws a lot more stares at the light. It will even get stared at over a z06. I've had it happen. And any attempt to bring back the WS6 in the new Camaro is hideous at best.

If GM has 2 pony cars they are retarded. Why compete against yourself?

So if 105 is a 12 second car my 106.76 and still in the 13s means I could run what time? lol

I have seen cars run high 12's at 103mph.

With the right 60ft anything is possible,my 2.00 60ft is keeping me out of the 12's my car has mph'd 107.83 as a best but its been around 106 consistantly.

I ran consistent 106.6+ and I was getting 13.148 down to 13.066. The best 60' was a 1.974 and that got me my best time. Tires pressure was in the 30s, stiff head wind, hot lapped, and not the best track prep. Couldnt launch over 1k rpms. lol

Get some better air and a tailwind and 12's are there.

105-106 mph is an easy mid to high 12 second car with a decent (1.5-1.6) 60 foot time.
Just gotta drive it and have the rest of the car setup to take advantage of the power it's making.

You are correct Tom. Actually any car that can trap 101-102 mph will go high 12's if it's setup right and driven correctly.

My top 6 runs (where I didnt spin too much) I averaged 13.140 @ 106.563 with an average 60' of 2.032.

With just a 1.9 60ft your car would run 12.8.

    With a 1.8 60ft you could have 12.6's.

You need sticky tires and a 3600 stall.

10 bolts can live behind A4's,my buddy was pulling 1.7's with his and a 3200 stall in his 95 Z28.
