340rwhp...Good ET?
Just curious if anyone from experience or just would know a close estimated 1/4 mile time that a camaro ss with around 340/350rwhp would be? Considering a pretty decent 60'...If anyone has a good idea let me know. Thanks!

High 12's with a decent 60' time. My buddy has a 02 SS with 346 RWHP and he hit a 12.8 @ 110 MPH.

Wait I thought they are rated stock around the 300 more or less stock which would put them at low 13s, with another 40 hp then just drop that little?

Yea I know the numbers really sound high, it is very diffucult up here to turn goods times the air is extrmely thin and bandimere drag speedway is in the mountians(keep in mind 5,800ft above sea level is 1mile and 1/8th higher).the thin air and oxygen starvation is high, but even up here the car beats 90% of the people it races except turbos and superchargers ex. 2004 procharger Mustang runs 14.0 flat at 99mph. it makes people furious. it has been tuned and has cold air ram intake package and no cat back exshaust. cars up her generally all run in the 15's and 16's.
Before i added the no cats back exshaust and the ram air induction the car stock ran 15.01 at 96 mph with around 305 hpand 330trq. the majority of camaro's up here run high 14's and heads and cam camaro's run low 13's.
I just also gotdone working the super chevy showdown we have there every year. the fastest camaros there are running high 11's and low 12's with turbo's, supercharger's, and spray. the fastest one that won was 11.96 with sts turbo kit and 150 shot of nos.Last edited by 99Ls1fever; 08-28-2007 at 01:17 PM.

Hey whats upbud I remember your car down the I work the starting line, I was asking you up at the fuel store earlier what all you had done to your car if you remember I was on a little mini bike or maybe a atv I cant remember. that time is pretty good man have you had your car dynoed? I know Matthew's Speed shop of 119 on the way to Longmont has Dyno Days on the first Saturday of each month for 35 bucks and I went this last saturday and my bud works there and I dynoed out at 236.8 and 342.8 trq @5,300 rpms. That is with slp ram cold air intake package and no cat back exshaust. are you going to race bracket nationals this friday and saturday? you should im going race this wednesday at test and tune and this friday and saturday, I told you about that guy who is the shit for tunnig. He is going to be there this weekend he goes with the dragon racing team and is named eric, he drives a 1997 Ls1 silver with like purple dark flames drom front of car to mid door. you would benefit mad from talking to them. I always ask them whats up and what they would do when i go to buy parts etc.

NBM- '98 Ram Air Formula
With 330 dyno'ed hp and tq I'm getting down to 12.4 with a 1.8 60's. The dyno and track run were both with a Vilgilante 3000, so the hp and tq #'s are probably quite a bit lower than they should be for the mods done but the times are great. I can't wait for winter and the temps to drop.
PS - Its great being at sea level but it sucks having to deal with the 80-90 degree air temps in Houston.

Hey, Hows it goin, Yes I remember you. Thanks for the info. I Got lucky on the time, My car hooked up just right for that run. Stupid street tires were hell trying to dial in just right. I need to get a 9" and some slicks. I ended up going to the 3rd round in the DOT class. It was my first time down at Bandimere in over 15 years. I used to run every weekend and was always in the top 10 in points when I ran my little 64 nova. I was surprised how well my reaction times were and I didn't miss a beat with my slowest one of the weekend at .641.
As far as going to Mathews, I have herd nothing but bad stuff about that place and was told by Many people to avoid them at all costs. I am going to the dyno day that Clint is putting on sometime in the next month for a tune and dyno #'s.
Take care and PM me maybe we can hook up down at Bandimere sometime. I'd like to take my El camino down and see what that will run as well.
