I imagine that the Humidity was killer there also.
You didnt leave it in "D" did you? Put it back into 3rd, shut traction off, brake it to about 2k and give it hell when the light changes.

My 60' is usually about 2.2 but I cross the 1/8 about 88mph, but I'm modded.

i dont have traction control. what do you other guys run with 2:73 gears? my car has 93,xxx on it so maybe the trans and motor are just wore out or something.
i put it in 3rd and it didnt change anything. i went off the line at about 1500, right before my tires were gonna break loose.

Well i had a friend who ran a consistent 13.3 in his Z28. Bone stock, A4 with 2.73s. Higher than the norm but you should be able to pull mid 13s.

i cut worst times when i brake torque it...unless you have the tires/suspension to back it up...just go from a idle ..i usually cut 2.01s 60' ..and jump to 2.1-2.2 when i bT it

My 1998 TA with A4 2.73, with a lid, WS6 hood and airbox, ran a best of 13.65 @ 102.9 but usually ran high 13s @ 100.5. 2.1 60 ft or a little better. I could get 500 RPM more from the engine by manually shifting, that got me to the high 13s. If I let the trans do its thing I was .25 slower and about 1 MPH slower.

    I was 13.4 stock with the 2.73 gears in my 2000 ls1 camaro. my 60 was 2.0

Your 60 being 2.5 is prolly killing your time by .8 or more. I had perfect traction on my 2.0 60' run

Your friend must be one heckuva driver with the perfect conditions on that run. I've never seen or heard of a 2.73 geared A4 (LS1) car running 13.30's in stock form.

    Learning something new everyday...

silverz28camaro has an ls6 intake? On a 2000? Stock? That is what I was refering to, so check your story please before you tell me to STFU. If he had an '01 or '02 F-body, I would not have called him out on that intake part.

BS 13.08 stock time, with an AT 2.73

sorry didnt look at the year, but either way with the ls6 intake and what he had done i think its possible... my friends is a dog when i raced it but had no ls6 intake... i got it to a 8.9 but he has done a lot bette rthan that... a lot of these cars are factory freaks... i ran 8.11 on dr's and lt's and a lid... no tune... nothing else... in a m6... plenty left in it... may not be a 13.08 but i had a lot of people tell me that i didnt? its just kinda odd

The car went 13.08 BEST with the slp lid and flowmaster weld in. all other runs were 13.1-13.3 all runs with street tires, some 60's were in the 1.99 range

I did add headers and ls6 intake with the 2800 stall and nittos LATER and went 12.3 first pass, little more tuning, weight reduction, and it went 11.899 stock internals.

I did not say the 13.08 was stock. Read a little more pancho!

13.08 is still INCREDIBLE for an LS1 F-bod w/ just lid and chokemaster. That would put you around 13.1-13.2 in BONE-STOCK trim in a 2.73/A4 Camaro.
