00+ Z28 1/4 times

We are have a dicussion on club 4g eclipse about the 00+ z28 vs the 06+ eclipse GT. Actually started about the firebird and has went to LS1 cars in general. I was wondering if any of you would like to put in your input, since there are no actual LS1 owners there. With that said I don't want this to turn into

the firebird was a v6...

a v8 firebird formula is a mid to low 13sec 1/4 min car, STOCK...

Stock LS1 cars run around 13.5...period.
I don't consider that close, but hey, if any of your GS buddies are in central NJ,
I'll...you know...show them.

listen to me very carefully.

it will take thousands of dollars for you and your buddies to run with anything with an lsx in it. i dont blame you for this, just the facts. im not going to call you a ricer because you had enough respect to ask, so i will offer advise to the best of my ability.

sell your car, because they havent improved the eclipse in many years. my old dsm would walk any 4g eclipse out there, and that was a shitbox. there is no point to modding those cars, because you wont run "neck and neck with a z28" unless you plan on (as i said) several thousand dollars and a nice big hairdryer.

educate yourself on what its really like out here in the real world. i understand its easy to get caught up in the times youre "suppose to run with this aem intake and this sweet underdrive pulley" but let me save you the trouble...it aint gonna happen.

get yourself a v8 and be way ahead of anything diamondstar affliated. (no offense to evos)
