Z06 Rims, what do you think?

This is a discussion on Z06 Rims, what do you think? within the Wheels and Tires forums, part of the General Help category; I am about to buy some Z06 wheels (17X9.5 front, 18X10.5 rear) and I'm thinking about getting 275/40-17 and 295/35-18 ...

Z06 Rims, what do you think?

I am about to buy some Z06 wheels (17X9.5 front, 18X10.5 rear) and I'm thinking about getting 275/40-17 and 295/35-18 respectively.

The calculator on 1010tires.com says that a 3% difference in overall diameter from the stock tire might cause ABS issues. The rear tire shows a 1.88% difference (+1.1mph vs stock) but the front tire shows a 3.61% difference (+2.2mph).

Will these rims and tires fit on a 2000 Z/28 with a stock suspension? Do I need spacers, etc. Any other sizes you guys recommend?

The diameter of the 275/40/17 is 25.7"

The diameter of 295/40/18 is 26.1"

That should not affect your ABS. I believe if there is more of a .5" difference between the two in diameter, then it will start affecting your ABS.

Is there a better pairing of tire sizes suitable for our cars on these rims? I'd like to keep the differences as minimal as possible.

255/45/17 is a 26.1" diameter, that would match the rear diameter.

You could get the BFG KDW original in that size and the BFG KDW NT in the 295 and be close to have matching tires

Awesome, I think the 255/45-17 up front and 295/35-18 in the back would work very well. Do I need a spacer or anything for them to fit or do they bolt right up?
