Will 1 inch spacers work on my 56mm offset wheels?
ANyone use the bolt on type spacers on a 56mm (c4 vette offset) rims? I need to bring the wheels out a bit and was wondering if the tire might rub on the fender when going over bumps. with sportlines and the stock wheels w/winters the car looks totally asss with how far in the wheels are on the rear.
I was thinking 3/4" spacers would be ideal but i dont think there are bolt on types in this size as the threads would probably be too long.

I would highly recommend not using any spacers period. They are known to shear off wheel studs. If you are just dead set on using spacers, I would get a set of hardened studs and install them just to be on the safe side.

Just looked at some pics with the zr1 wheels on the car and wow 1" would be way too big. the offset of the stock 01 16s is just horrible and makes it look like it could used a 2" spacer on the back. I think I may go with 1/4 inch or 3/8 in the rear.

FYI
There's slip on wheel spacers, and there's bolt on hub spacers. The bolt on hub spacers are completely safe, and slip on wheels spacers put undo stress on the wheel studs.

20mm is way bigger than I thought. I believe 8mm is a 1/4 inch or close to it. Do you guys know if we have enough threads not to need longer studs with an 8mm spacer?

I would go w/ a 1/4" making it quite ideal.
Make sure you have long enough studs for that.Eugenio_SS
