widest wheel

i am goin to put some wheels on my ta more than likely some 18s but i was wondering what is the widest size i can put without making any modification to the wheel well size and offset would be helpful form you guys outthere also would like to use 315s but if can go wider without mods i would like to any info. would be appreciated

9.5"-10" Wheel and 275 Tire = No Modification

10.5"-11" Wheel and 315 Tire = Grinding off Bumpstop and Bangout of some of the Wheel Well

Backspacing makes a little bit of a difference, but not that much...the above is a good rule of thumb to go by.

It all depends on the car.

Some fit 315's without issue. Others require fender rolling and hammer work on the wheel wells.

so best thing to do is find the wheel i want with the width test and hope for the best or what?
