    1998 pontiac trans am

    why do my tires wear out quick

    i had my front end alligned right before i tore my motor apart and the guy said he had a hard time alligning it due to needing new bushings. which bushings is he talking about? on the control arms? my tie rod ends are new. the tires wear out on one side and wear out quick.

    the lower control arm bushings wear out. not too hard to replace. will need another alignment after you replace them as that's where the adjustment point is located at.
    Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

    Sorry to interject here, but I know I am due to swap my bushing out, any idea on cost and a good brand to go with, or just get OEM ones?

    thanx for the info. i thought that was the bushings he was talking about. i'm totally rebuilding my motor right now so when im finished, the bushings are my next step. appreciate your help

    Get the Moog replacements. They are a rubber with less air voids similar to the 1LE bushings.
