Who is right? Who is wrong?

Hey guys, I have been searching many threads and got many different answers, need help. I am getting C6 rims and some nittos for my TA. Gettin 275/35/18's all the way around and ordered 18X8.5 wheels. Some people say that is to wide a tire for that rim and to get 9.5's, others say the 8.5 wheel is fine, which one?!??? I got 275/40/17's on my stock WS6 rims right now and they look fine. I already got the wheels and tires ordered, just want to know if I will be ok with the combo 275/35/17's and 18X8.5's all they way around. Thanks.

Just my opinion, but I feel a 18x9.5 is a better choice for a 275 tire.......

I was told that if I ever do decide to go wider, I would need the 9.5 for sure, but for now I like the width of the 275. I just dont want it to look weird. Got em on my TA right now on my WS6 17"s. I wanted to go with the staggerred fit 19"s rear and 18"s front, but i dont want to give the car the BFH treatment to do it.
