wheels and tires for dragging

ok, i plan on going to the local tracks (raceway park, atco, island drag) in spring and summer and i was wondering what tires (and/ or rims) are good so i dont eat up my normal tires. im just looking for sticky street tires basically and a new set of rear rims. doesnt matter what the rims look like as long as theyre not too expensive, i kinda like getting a black or brown rim, something kinda ugly but cool at the same time haha.

get a pair of stock 16" wheels and put some drag radials on them.

stock for me is 17", but my main concern were the tires, what company? what design? i want good performance and decent life span

well, get a pair of the same stock wheels you have and get some 275/40-17 MT ET Street radials or Nitto drag radials.

if you aren't worried about it looking the same, then for less money get some factory 16" wheels and go with the 245/50-16 nittos or 255/50-16 MT ET Street radials. i've been 11.39 on the nittos in 16" and 11.44 on the 17" nittos

Ya get some stock 16 inch rims. Lighter and more sidewall=better for drag racing. Use Mickey Thompson ET Streets or ET Street radials.
