    Wheel paint

So my rims are painted white and are getting dull and have chipped a bit. The guy I bought it from said he did it himself and they're not powder coated. What should I use to redo them and can I just tape them off or remove the tires from then rim?

Its much easier to remove the tires..but you can let all the air out and jam tape between the tire and rim. Then just sand them down good.

Get them powdercoated, it will make a world of difference.

I would if it wasn't so expensive. I just payed 5k for a new engine so funds are non existent.

Yeah the engine itself was 2,892k but with labor and all the gaskets and installing the headers it came out to 5k.

If you must redo them on a budget with the tires on, tuck index cards between the tires and the wheels to "mask" the tires.

    Good luck
