what torque thrust should I get 17'' or 18''
hi, I have a 2001 SOM camaro SS. I plan on buying some chrome torque thrust rims A.S.A.P. I dont know if I should go w/ 17'' or the 18''. I plan on going 275 on the front and 315 in the back. I am also going to lower the car a bit. do I have to run low profile tire in the rear? or normal tires will be fine. will I have to use spacer?

I would also like to know if I installed a 17x11 in the rear using a 315x35x17 would it rub if the car is lowered 1.5 all the way around.

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
17x9.5 front 17x11 rear
Although on a Camaro I would probably go with ZR1's over TTII's. Just me.

Navy Blue Metallic- 1999 Pontiac Trans Am
Im shocked that so many are choosing the 17's. Usually people are leaning toward the 18's due to bigger. I know you can get a wider rear with the 17s which is a big incentive but still. I have been tossing around whether to get 17" or 18" C6 wheels and cant decide whether the extra 400 bucks is worth the bigger rims and tires (exact same width). Tough decisions considering the money spent.

I'd go with the 17X10.5's, just so you wouldn't have to worry about rubbing and possibley messing with the odometer readings and what not.

09 EclipseGT 75 Chevy 4x4- 2001 Trans-Am 13 F-XT
I went 18x9.5 all around seeing I wanted a set for street and my car is a DD right now. I'll run a good drag radials on the stock 16's if I ever get to drag racing. I would run 17's if I ever do autox. So I guess get the ones that best fit what you want your car to do.

17x11 w/315
This is what a 17x11 w/315's from a different view...can you say "c" hair?
But I get no rubbing or issues or than this closeness
Keep in mind I have a T/A and I hear maro's are a lil different in the rear 1/4 area so, YMMV.Last edited by 99'CajunFirehawk157; 03-30-2008 at 12:56 PM.
