what size tires do I get for 20 inch rims on 01 TA

So I got a 01 trans am drop top with 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in back. ... the back tires are bridgestone dueler hp spots 315/35/20 they fit but its real tight bout a quarter inch in the closest spot does anyone know if they will expand more then that after I heat em up like after doing a burnout? Also the tires on the front are to tall they are 275/40/20 its not a wide issue I dont think but the height of the sidewall I can get a pair of 275/35/20 but I dont know if they will work are still be to tall.... any help on this would be most helpful

That sidewall on ALL sides is TOO tall. I'm thinking 275/30R20 in front and 315/25R20 in the rear. The bigger the rim, the smaller you have to go with sidewall ratio. You WILL have to watch for potholes as you'll have either blowouts, or bent wheels. Tires will be pricey, so start with brands like Nankang, Nitto, etc.

I was thinking the same for the front I seen the 275/35/20 on some rims my buddy has we put it in the wheel well it looked to big still I just wanted another opinion on it..... the rear tires I was thinking goin to a 315/30/20 the 315/35/20 I got on it now fit with about a quarter inch of space behind the back tire alot pf people are telling me im good they wont expand when heated up cuz the lower profile tires got steel in them to stop expanding from happing but I think I should still go down a size to the 315/30/20...... the tires are bridgestone dueler h/p sports
