What size side wall...
When I bought my TA it came with good year eagles on it and they are nice and skinny...235/55r17 to be exact...im looking @ getting new tires and want no wider than 275 in the rear with probably something around a 245 or 255 in the front...my question is, what size side wall would you guys recommend? The 55's look good, but its REALLY hard to find a 55 side wall on a 255-275 tire. Pics would be a plus so I can get an idea of what im looking at...my car is running 17inch TT2's.

Why not run 275/40/17's all the way around? thats the stock SS and WS6 size.

the street version I believe you are asking about? 555r is the drag radial tire.
for my SS, I run 555's on the front and 555r's on the rear. when I ran the stock wheels, they were 275/40/zr17 (17x9 rim).
now running 17x10's and 315/35/17 555r in the rear and 285/40/17 555's in the front. I have slight inner fender rubbing from the outside of the tires when having to turn to lock in either direction. they are a good tire.
however, if you are in a region that experiences all 4 seasons, I suggest looking into a high grade high performance all season tire. when it comes time to replace the tires on my GTO, im going to go with the following:

we do get snow and ice during the winter times...dont know how much i'll be driving the car in those conditions because I also have a truck but I will look into all season tires as well. Im getting ready to move to Nashville in the next few weeks and I know they get more than we do. Thanks for the info.
