What are the best street tires???

I have the TOYO Proxes 4's and think their alright i had to replace one of 'em due to a slow leak and want something better. If I'm droppin big dollars on tires I want to what's the best.

I got some Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position A/S. (245/50ZR/16)

They are an ultra-high perf. A/S, not that I need something with winter traction as I do not plan to drive the T/A in the winter, but I wanted something that the rubber compound would not get hard in colder temperatures (like summer tires may do) in the spring and fall...St. Louis has very unpredictible weather.

They have excellent traction. I have only put 2500 miles on them though, but I am about to put another 1000 on a road trip in 2 weeks. I'll let you know how they feel on the long drive.

+1 I got the same setup and they are great. They do get a bit loose when it's below 45ish out.

I would have to say Michelin Pilot Sports!! They are way better than the F1's.
If you look at almost any super car that's what they all come with.
One of my customers had a 05 Porsche Carrerea GT-R 1 of 40 offerd to VIP customers only. $530,000 it made 690 hp on the dyno.... I ran 11.0's @133mph with the A/C on and it was 113* outside on Pilots.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

Don't know about the below 45 as I have never driven it when it was that cold but I can see them being like that.

    Located in Milwaukee, you?

tested the Michelin Pilot Sports... and didn't get better results than the F1... and that was @ a track for testing facility w/ homologated asphalt.
The Porsche car has more to do with being able to bring mechanical grip to the wheels than the tire itself.

Had a C5 with both F1's and Pilots and the Pilots were almost .20 of a second faster @ the dragstrip. Your doing roud course deal. I just liked the Pilots way better around town also less spin on the street.

Yes... braking, slalom, road-course, both dry and wet.
The michelin has a softer wall, giving it a slightly better edge on acceleration only and a tad on the braking in a straight line.

Exactly which is what I want! It's hard enough not to get a wreckless driving ticket going straight if I was hanging corners @ 50 I would be in jail.
My track access is a few dragstrips.
Not to mention my added soft springs in the rear for weight transfer. Don't help much for the slalom.
