Weld Pro Stars
Im buying 15" Pro Stars from Weld, but theres a million backspacing/offset options what are the ones I should choose? I have a 2000 SS, I know im gonna spend some time w/ my old friend Mr. Grinder, but I just need to know which off set and back spacing to go for. Thanks!

15x10 requires a 7.5" backspace on the back.
I don't believe you can run a 15x7 up front. At least not without seriously taking down the front calipers. Something I wasn't willing to do.
I run 15x3.5 for the ProStar fronts. No grinding required. Backspaced 1.75" with a 5/16 spacer.2008 Trailblazer SS
Yank PTB3600, Kooks 1 7/8" LT's, 4" intake, E-fans, Magnaflow, Sonnax kit, tranny cooler, tune.
Lowered, HID's, tinted.

Lots of guys do it.
I personally wouldn't. I have a different set of wheels for that.
The ride is much rougher and the car doesn't feel nearly as sound on the ProStars. The sidewall is soft on the skinnies and the MT's. The car will sway a bit.

Ya I believe 15x3.5 is the biggest you can go upfront. Your not supposed to drive on skinnies period on the street. Lots of guys do and I have myself but after a friend broke off all his wheel studs on one side using skinnies and a spacer I use those just for the track now.

Stock ones I believe. It was an older LT1 too fwiw. Here's a link to the thread he posted so no one thinks it's an internet rumor.

I don't doubt it in the least on the stock studs.
I don't trust those....they barely make it into the center of the wheel.
I run ARP 3.25" studs on each corner on mine.

Well, Im running on 17X10 American Racing wheels now all the way around, they are too heavy, Im selling those to help pay for the 15's and tires, Im gonna pissed that I can't run the skinnies on the street, I guess if I upgrade the studs... I wanna cut weight on the wheels, I dont wanna ride on 17s anymore and im having problems finding anything decent in a 16, the hell with it... prostars is it is i suppose! any other options?
