I really would like to fit my 2000 Z-28 with a set of 15" Draglites but the brake calipers wont clear .....is there a solution to getting them to clear without grinding the calipers and id like to see if there is a draglite that would fit if they cant. i dont think they make the xp's anymore.

put a 1" spacer on. then they'll stick out 1". there is no way around putting 15" draglites on without grinding. i run 15 x 10 with 7.5" back spacing draglites on the rear of mine.

You can use the Strange rear calipers and they'll clear but you'll lose the emergency brake.

I been thinking on just running the 17 " ss wheels i picked one up to see how heavy it was at a wrecking yard and they are pretty light. so i think im going to buy a set from slp 400 isnt bad for a set of 4 . they are silver and id love to get the chrome ones but the extra cost for the chrome is out of my budget, i just dont know on what tires to run on the back to hook up, so many out there to choose from. if any of u have experimented with any of the 17" tirers let me know what yall think.

I have been driving ground calipers for 3 years now no issues. I can show you pictures of what happens with spacers. I have yet to hear of a person that ground with the same problem IE sheared bolts. Telstars here myself which take the most grinding. Best 60' here 1.58 with the tire spin on the wheel. I know when I ground mine PS John on Tech had been driving 4 years ground no issues.

Not my photos but come from a thread on tech called. "pictures of calipers after the "telstar treatment" ". If you notice looks like the person is using washers for spacers. I probably had to grind a little more to get them on with no spacers. THe front ones dont take much grinding plus the fronts do the majority of the breaking anyway.
