Want to replace stock wheels - need help

I have a set of boneyard wheels right now, need to get something good,
but want to keep the same tires, 245/50/16. I looked at lots of sites on
the web, but am confused on what rims will fit. Can anyone tell me what
I need to look for, 16x7.5, 16x8, backspace, offset, etc? Thanks in advance!

just get a set of chrome ta wheels... if you are staying with 16s i dont think you have alot of options... none that will look good anyway.

    Go with 17/9.5 or 17/10

there are lots of good 17s that go up for sale for cheap.. just keep watching the forums
a nice set of polished 17'' ws6 wheels or some chrome ZR-1s would look hot

    just one example.

Thank you for the replies, but I am trying to keep this low budget.
Also, I just bought the tires, Dunlop 245/50/16's last summer, so I
really want to keep them. I guess what my real question is what are
the wheel dimension specs that I need to look for, 16 x ?, offset ?,
    bolt pattern ?
    Thanks!

Just get chrome 17" ZR1's, they look sweet on Formulas and in reality 17" tires dont cost much, just have to search around alittle

A set of 16x wheels 5x4.75" (5x120.65mm) would fit perfect, and maintain stock ride height, and speedo accuracy... 5x120mm fit too, but I don;t recommend it. Usually any offset between 36 - 46 works.

its a rare size with that bolt pattern though, so your not going to have much luck finding anything other than a better set of boneyard wheels or factory replicas... which are rather expensive. I would sell the 16" tires on craigslist.org or something and find a nice set of new 17" already mounted&balanced with tires. Between paying a tire shop to break the tires off the old rims, put it on the new rims (which they don't like to do unless you bought the tire from them, because of fear of damaging them), mount & balance, and the cost of new 16" wheels you prob won;t save a dime...

I found a set of these, at a DirectTire store, and ordered a set.

Also, I went to TownFairTire, and the guy didn't seem like he knew what he was doing, tried
to sell me a tire&wheel package (18's) for $1400. The guy at DT was honest and made sure
that the dimensions were right, the only other wheels he could get to fit were American Racing
    Razor's $220 a piece, 2 month backorder.

Nice! I like those! I had actually thought of those when I started reading this thread tonight and was going to suggest them, but I see you already found them!

Great looking wheel, if they came in 17" sizes I'd get a set for my Formy.

Posting pics is easy... get a Photobucket.com account if you don't already have one, it's free. Then, you can upload pics to Photobucket right off your computer. Once you do that, Photobucket adds the IMG tags for you, so all you have to do is cut and paste the IMG codefrom Photobucket in a message here, and your pics will show up in your post.
