Tubes in drag radials??

one of them has a little knick in it and i dont want it to blow at 100+ mph

I dont know if it would make a diff or not, but that is why i am posting

What tire is it? If the DR has a "knick" I assume you mean it needed a patch. I wouldnt trust a patched Radial at the strip ever. The tube doesnt make any sense to me.

yeah i wouldnt. first off you only want to put it in one tire not 2. and you would throw it off ballance. if its a normal tire not a dr, then your over reacting and you will be fine you will only be trapping a 100-106mph

Its a MT DR 275 40 15 and it has about a two inch gash in it right in the middle of the tread, and i would be putting a tube in both if it would work.

shit! well sorry to say but i think you should just get a new one. you life is not worth $200. shit event if they blow out at 100+mph and you dont get hurt, but your car does. you deductable is more than the new tire.

Just buy a new tire for 230 man. I now it must suck... but its not worth playing that game. Just buy a new MT.

if its that bad just get new tires....its worth it........even if that tire went and you had a tube, it depends on how the tires goes.....it could take the tube with it or still take you even if the tube is intact
