    Toyo R888's

I drive my car only about 1,000 miles a summer, on sunny days, and about 3 to 4 auto x's a season. I'm looking to get new tires this year and I can't decide if I should get Michelin ps-2's or chance driving around on softer Toyo R888's. Has anybody used these tires (r888) on a street driven car?

I have kumho exsta xs's and they are great, that and the falken azenis are another great autox/ road tire. If you do get get something like the toyo's or kumho etc and you store the car during winter wrap the tires in plastic. Sticky tires get stale easily.

Thanks for the info..... I bought the R888's last week but haven't had a chance to drive on them yet, working on a brake upgrade at the moment. For winter storage I was going to remove the wheels and store them in the basement. I can't wait to get this thing out and see what the differance is between these tires and my 10 year old OEM shoes!!!!

They're gonna rip! What size tire did you get? What brake upgrade?

I stuck with the stock size tire 275-40-17's. I installed stainless brake lines, Hawk HP+ pads, Roto-Tech cross drilled rotors and Motul rbf600 fluid. I blast cleaned the OEM calipers and painted them. I drove the car on Saturday to bed in the new brakes, what a differance! Still need to put the new tires to the test
