    Torque Thrust II

After much debate, I'll likely be getting a set of American Racing Torque Thrust II's (Series VN405) on my T/A. I was thinking 17x9.5 on the front and 17x11 on the back. Now, what size rear tire should I go with? I'd like to have as wide as possible without rubbing on the fender wells. I know a thread like this likely exists, but I tried sorting through all the pages and just got frustrated. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

you can do anything from a 245 to 295(if you can find them) up front. in the back guys do 315's a lot and even a 325 but that is work to fit in some cases. 315 is wide and safe for that wheel. might or might not need to do some small work to get it to fit. As for what tire brands. Ask around the forum and see what people have tried on thier cars and how they like them.

In fact, Mr Luos, you were the inspiration for me to get those wheels. I have an 89 Camaro with TTII's, but they're too small. Then I saw your video on YouTube and I knew instantly what I wanted to do.

If you get alum you will regret it, go with chrome, thats my personal opinon, i just ordered black torq thrust m, selling my expensive intro solid billet with rivets, $400ea wheels that are on my 2002 ss now, i got 6 wheels altogether, same and the back have 555r on them, looking forward to my new ar wheels no more polishing thank god, good luck, abby

Actually the ones on my 89 Camaro are polished aluminum. I'm not a big fan of chrome as it tends to flake off after a while. Yea, you have to do a bit more maintenance with polished aluminum, but I think it's worth it. To each his own, though

And I am the complete opposite.
I will NEVER own a set of chrome wheels. Polished aluminum is it.

Someone with these wheels needs to post the backspacing info up so they can be ordered in the correct offset and spacers won't be required.
