    Torq Thrust II Help!!

I need help from some fellow TTII owners. I just got a set of staggered TTIIs, mounted them this afternoon, but I don't like the offset of the rear wheels at all. They're the 17x11 (505-71163), but the offset of the wheels do not look right to me. How does this compare to everyone else who's running this set up, with 315s in the back? I'm at the point where I might just return these and go with the 17x9.5 on all four corners. Thanks for your help!

Got any better pics? That should be the right offset but they seem to stick out a lot

Nope...those are the only pics I have. From my rough measurements, I'm coming up with only a 29mm offset, but it's not easy to get exacts with the tires mounted. I don't think a panhard bar is the problem because the offset is the same on both sides, even though it's hard to tell in that pic. Can American Racing screw up that bad, and would another 17mm make that big of a difference?

It can make a big difference. There is a chance that they might have sent you the wrong ones, is there a number on the inside to identify it?

i have the 10.5 on the back of my ss with 315s. Cant remember the backspacing but its no were near that far off. they should fit about even with the body of the car.

    Nope...since its a two piece rim, there's only a generic number..."AR505 17x_".

I double-checked the measurements and actually came up with a backspacing of ~7.6875", with an offset of ~42.86mm. Unfortunately that's pretty close to what the specs should be if you factor in some margin of error with the tires being mounted.

At this point, I can't imagine anybody being happy with this setup if this is how it's supposed to look. Looks like I'll try and swap these for another pair of 17x9.5s. Thanks for everyone's input...sorry if I sound pissed!
