Torq Thrust 2 ?'s(Backspacing?)
I ended up buying a set of torq thrust 2's for the car and have some questions about what backspacing everyone is getting theirs in. These wheels supposedly came off of an F-body. The fronts are 17x8 and I didn't measure the backspacing yet but they seem to stick out pass the fender if you really look at it . I'd say they stick out about 1/4" or so.It's not super obvious though. I think it looks fine it's just the backs are 17x9.5 and they don't stick out like the front so it kinda looks a little odd. The front two look like they have more of a dish than the backs. I'm probably gonna get 17x11's for the rear if I decide to keep the wheels. I'll have to remember to get some pictures of it and post them up.

thanks for the link. Just wondering how much of a dish they have on the 17x11's. It looks to me that those 17x8's that I have or more dished than the 17x9.5's. So the back two are probably backspaced correctly for the car.

Want a pic of the rears on my car? They are the ones spec'd in that link.
Might give you an idea on the dish.

Yeah that would be cool to see how your's look with the correct backspacing. I took some measurements today the best I could with the tires on the wheels. The 17x8's came out to approx. 4"backspacing and the 17x9.5's came out to approx 7"backspacing. I tried the 17x9.5's up front and they fit better than those 17x8's but could still use just a tad bit more backspacing.

here's a pic of the 17x8's up front from the side. It's the best I could seem to get. They would work but when I took the car out last night they rubbed the fender when you would hit a big enough dip or bump.

thanks for the close up shots. they look good I'll probably order set in the correct backspacing and sell the ones I have. I would at least like to get rid of the 17x8's since they are of no use to me. It looks to me that both fronts and rears on your car both stay within the fender line.
