you're probably gonna have to roll the lip on the quarter panel/fender well. they tend to shred your tires once you stick some 315's on. you need a buddy to move car back and forth while you roll the lip. . . . .

-you prob have to cut the bat down a little so you can use the thinner part toward handle. . . . . .
-stick the bat between the tire and the quarter panel and let it roll between as your buddy moves car back and forth. keep moving the bat toward you slowly so the fatter part is doing the rolling.
-if you do this slow enough you won't flake any paint. being warm outside also helps.

i dunno about a lowered car but 305's and even 315's will fit a stock ride height f-body. the fender "roll" trick is easy and worth doing in my opinion. . .but i think you could prob get away with a low pro 305, ive had 315's on my car (with rolled lip) and mine is slammed to the ground.
2000 red ss: >2" drop, koni adjustables 'n 275 s-compounds all way around, giant brakes, dynatech LT's, borla catback (no plate), t56, tubular everything, HARD TOP, caged, "stock" heads 'n a mean cam. -2* front camber.

you should go w/ 315/30-18 like I did... the 315/35 are good in 17s.
Those will have the same overall diameter as stock size tires.
