Tire width options
I found the nittos i want but have no idea with what size to go with. I believe the wheels are 18x8 and i have 235 40r 18 on them right now. I get absolutely no traction, but i dont know what size i can go to and have them fit properly.

You MIGHT be able to run 255/35R18 in Nittos since they are slightly narrow than other brand tires.

okay so you were completely correct in suggesting the 255's. i have the 265s on and they do shear ever so slightly. I shaved down the inside of the fenders for the time being, but i need to roll them. any advice on that?

When rolling fenders, use a quality fender roller and use a heat gun. Don't heat the paint too much. Just enough that the paint is tacky to the touch as it won't crack when you roll the fender.
