Oh yeah I know, just saying that it looked stretched. They look really good. I like the look of a slightly stretched tire anyway.

The fronts are stretched. Their a 255. When I replace them going with 275 like the rears. Not a big stretched fan. And I can rotate them.

I still have the stock 16" rims. It looks like it will be next yr before I can get new ones.

I need something for dry and wet. It rains more here then Seattle. Average winter temp is 40 degrees, only a few days does it drop below freezing.

I drive it to work a couple of times a week and its about 30 miles one way on hwy.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. I've been driving on them now since last summer. The car feels just as solid on wet ground as it does on dry (normal driving). If the ground is wet at all, they won't hook up for a hard launch (I get tail wag with sudden applications of throttle from low speeds). In the dry they hook right up, but I've never done a high rpm clutch dump... just hard acceleration from idle.

Around corners they feel very secure, as if the car is glued to the ground.

The most I've ever pushed my car around a corner is probably 6/10 of my total skill, so take that for what it's worth. Since I can't afford the cost or the shame of a ticket, I'm careful about how much of the car's performance I actually use on public roads. But for WOT runs down freeway onramps (curvy or straight) and high speed cornering through a back road, these tires do everything I need them to.

And again: the wet traction is better than my wife's FWD Honda with skinnier tires and a torque deficit.

We I can as of now say that the Nitto NT555 Extremes are a great tire in the rain. I got caught coming into work this morning and it was a mofo of a storm. I never loss traction. It handle very well. Also on dry pavement it grips very nicely too.

Last summer I would have loved to get the 555s, but based on my research, they seemed like the would not be as good as the Michelins... oh well... I'll try 'em out next time.

My nitto 555's lasted 60k miles. They were good to me. I did have some hydroplaning issues though. Even when they were fairly new. Just ordered some BFG KDW2's. Should be in by Saturday.

Got them at Costco when they had a coupon for $90 off a set of 4. They handle well, no complaints after 1000 miles.

did you have any problems with the tires picking up stuff like rocks and such?

I've notice that I'm picking up more pebbles.

No,I have the NT555's, they say Extremes on the side wall also. I have to say I really like this tire. It is much quieter then my last set. Handle very well in the rain. Not that I like to drive it in the rain, it's just that all year we can have rain at any moment, so I needed a tire that could handle it if I got caught in a storm.

I do know when I have to get another set I'm going to bump the rear up to 295/50 or 305/50 so I can get a nice rake and a little fatter tire in the back. The combo I have now is fine, just that it is to close in size to notice the difference.

Now I have to decide what to do with the Factory 16" Chrome wheels. Not to many Drag tires come in 16". The NT01 and NT555R's do come in a 245/50 16 size but that is the same size I just took off.

Yeah I've had to take my leaf blower and blow the pebbles into the gutter that are in front of my drive way. I guess because I have the gutter all the damn debris settles in front of my driveway, something I never notice before till I got these tires.
