Took a 120 mile trip today on my new 245/50ZR -16 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. Very wet and cold out so I had a good test run. I must say I am quite happy with them. Stick to road in twistie turns and high speed highways with great braking.

Have to wait for some snow and ice to pass final judgement but for now I'm pleased.

ive had great success with Perilli P-Zero Nero M+S, ultra high performance all season tires. they carry a ZR rating and are about $150 a pop.

NT-05's are not ideal for his climate as stated in his post. you live in FL, he's in Seattle. a softer tire compound in a cooler climate is not a good combo, especially once mixed with rain and possible light snow/snow. then you have the differences in tread depth for water evacuation where the tire meets the roads. hydroplaning isnt really that fun, imo.

im not saying it cant be done, but using an ultra high performance summer tire in that climate simply doesn't make the most sense being used as a semi-daily driver

Sorry, switched ISP was having a problem being able to log back in. Tires are great! I only replaced the rears but the car rides much smoother now. They hook pretty well on the road for street tires. Even in the rain I was surprised how well they gripped. The older tires would spin with much less throttle. Can't wait to replace the fronts now.

5150. Could you take a pic at an angle so we can see how well they protect the lip of the wheel?
