It's your choice but I would go same size all around if you want good wear cuz then you can at least swap front to rear. What is the rim width? You posted tire sizes but how wide is the wheel? 8,9,9.5,10,10.5,11?

Personally I run a 315 nitto on the back and 275 falken 452 on the front.

You can run 275 all the way around or 295s on the back. It's up to you.

    The falken's aren't too expensive.

275/40/17s all around... fronts are BF Goodrich g-force sport and the rears are MT ET street radials... they are some hookin MFers. hate having mismatched front/rear tires, but love the way the MTs hook, on/off the track.

tires do depend on how often you intend to change them...For me, changing MTs every 6-12 months is no big deal.

I went with 315's out back and 275's up front........I'm glad I did it, however 315's are pretty pricey.....If money is an issue you might be better going with a 295 or 305 in the rear............Good Luck

i run 245 front and 275 rear on an 18'' rim (8'' + 9''). my car's a daily driver and i like the combo, not too extreme. for tires i took hankook on my dealers recommendation and love them, tons of grip and they seem to last very well. and reasonably priced. a bit on the soft side, in hot climate i'd go for a harder tire.
