Hey i have HELO spec rims and it says they come in 18x7.5 and 18.9 but i measured it with a tape measure and it came out to 18x.8.5. Now i have 245,40 zr18 tires on the front and i wanna get 275/40 zr18 for the back. now if i have the 18x8.5 rims would i be able to fit the 275/40 tires on the back rims?

How did you measure?

Should be from the inside of the rim where the tire bead will sit, not the outside edge of the rim itself. Bead to bead, not lip to lip. That goes for width as well as diameter

they will fit on 8.5's

so basically if it said 8.5 from edge of rimt o edge of rim then that means if i measure it from bead to bead itll only be a 18x7.5 right??

You measure from bead to bead, which is in your case 8.5

You are correct. You measured the ENTIRE width of the rim and got 8.5 right? That would be about 7.5
