    some advice?

    So is 285/40/17 the widest tire i can put on a stock 10 spoke ss wheel?

    Actually the largest recommended tire size for a 17" x 9" wheel is 275/40/17.

    ive seen guys run 305's on 'em but they mushroom pretty bad. you can always run a set and see what happens.

    i would stick with 275's, prolly safer
    SLP LT's, SLP High Flow Cats, 3" Flowmaster CB, Comp Cam, SLP Lid, LS6 Intake, BBK 80mm TB, SFC, Ram Air HO Hood, Lowered, Torq Thrust II's
